It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joann Crump Primus, formerly of Lumberton, who peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, while residing in Tallahassee, Florida. Joanne's life was a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and cherished memories that will forever remain in our hearts.
Joann was born on September 3, 1957, in Lumberton, NC, and her journey was marked by a deep sense of community and a genuine warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her. Her dedication to family was unwavering, and she leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to guide and inspire.
Joann's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her loving daughters, Cynthia Crump, Lakeisha Crump, and Sharon Crump. She was a cherished grandmother to Jamarcus, Denzel, Alexis, Chancellor, Jameison, Keondra, and Decarius; and seven great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and boundless love will forever echo through the generations she touched.
Throughout her life, Joann was known for her boundless kindness, her infectious laughter, and her ability to find joy in the simplest of moments. She worked as a daycare teacher assistant and later obtained her CNA certificate, dedicating herself to caring for others until she was no longer able to do so due to health reasons. Her selflessness and dedication to helping those in need left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Joann was an outgoing soul who lived life to the fullest. She loved people and never met a stranger. Her warm smile and welcoming spirit could brighten even the darkest days. Her faith in Christ was unwavering, and she found great joy in sharing her love for the Lord with everyone she met.
Joann's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in eternal peace, forever remembered, forever loved.
