Following her pursuits in receiving a higher education, Laura worked several retail jobs before acquiring a position at Smithfield Packing Company where she dedicated almost 25 years of her life.  The commitment and drive she exemplified was never limited to the workplace.

Laura was passionate about caring for others. She gave unselfishly of herself and provided exceptional care for the loves of her life, her children and grandchild. She has created innumerable memories with them that they all will forever cherish in their hearts. She desired the absolute best for them and worked diligently to foster their every need. For the past 10 years, Laura embodied what it meant to “live life”, as she would often exclaim, by embarking on vacation cruises and trips with family and friends at least twice a year.
