John Arthur Thompson

John Arthur Thompson, 92, of Rowland, NC, answered God’s call on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, N.C. John was born to the late Rufus and Daisy Thompson on March 30, 1926.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Everlean McCollum Thompson; four daughters, Sarah McCallum of Laurinburg, NC, Lora Smith, Mary McDaniel (Wilbert), and Evelyn Smith, all of Rowland, NC; four sons, Robert T. Thompson (Sarah), Frank E. Thompson (Mary) both of Rowland, NC, Albert C. Thompson (Helen), and Elworth Thompson (Rhonda), both of Fayetteville, NC;  two daughters-in laws Mary Thompson and Annie Thompson a special brother-in law and friend, James Moore; twenty seven  grandchildren, thirty eight great-grand children, six great great-grand children; a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
