Thadous Worley Obituary

Celebrating the Life of Thadous Worley

Thadous Worley, affectionately known as "Thad" by all who knew and loved him, was born on July 23, 1934, in Lumberton, NC, to the late Nina Worley. His early years were shaped by the vibrant community of Lumberton, where he received his education in the local public schools.

With a strong work ethic and a passion for craftsmanship, Thad moved to Alexandria, VA, where he built a reputable career as a skilled brick mason and home improvement expert. His dedication to his craft was evident in every brick laid and every project completed, earning him respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

Thad's personal life was equally rich and fulfilling. He met and married the love of his life, Eula Bestile Robinson, and together they created a loving home for their five children. Thad's love for the outdoors was legendary; he found joy in landscaping, brickwork, and simply sitting outside, soaking in the beauty of nature. His culinary skills were a delight to his family and friends, who often gathered to enjoy his hearty meals and warm hospitality.

A true family man, Thad cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His home was always filled with laughter, love, and the comforting presence of his favorite Westerns and episodes of Tom and Jerry. Thad's legacy is one of love, hard work, and an unyielding spirit.

Thad was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Nina Worley; his cherished wife, Eula Worley; his sons, Gilbert and Reginald Worley; and his brothers, Marcus, Kenneth, and James Edward Worley. Their memories live on in the hearts of those who survive him.

He leaves to cherish his memories: three devoted sons, Douglas Worley of Alexandria, VA, Dewayne Worley of Cleveland, OH, and Thadous Worley, Jr. (Sharon) of Harrisonburg, VA; a loving daughter, Patricia Page (Robert) of Jackson, MS; ten grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Thad's legacy also includes his special sisters-in-law, Geneva Worley and Nettie Worley; dear friends Cathy Van Way, Mr. Bob, and Joe Wiggs; his long-time companion, Redell Harris; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Thad's life was a testament to the power of love, family, and dedication. He touched the lives of many and will be remembered with deep affection and admiration. His spirit lives on in the beautiful memories he created with those who were fortunate enough to know him.
