Walter Ray Crump, age 61, was born October 31, 1956 in Lumberton, NC. He was the son of the late Frank and Hallie (Doll) Crump and the second oldest of Seven siblings. He is preceded in death by his oldest brother Frank Edward Crump.
Walter was very dedicated and devoted to his family, children and his grandchildren. He became a member of St. Mary Holiness Church at an early age. He also worked as a cement construction worker with his father for many years. Later, he moved to Birmingham, Alabama where he met the love of his life, Gloria A. Crump. On October 31, 2000, the two united in holy matrimony.
Walter departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Hospital in Lumberton, NC. He was a loving husband, who will be deeply missed by his wife and for her things will never be the same. He leaves to cherish his memory of his life to: his wife, Gloria A. Crump; Three daughters, Patricia A (James) Pittman of Fairmont, Erica Crump of Lumberton, Erica Orr of Birmingham; Three Sons, Corey Fields (Nefertiti) of Fayetteville, Erick and Devante Orr of Birmingham; Five Sisters, Deborah (Sheldon) Southerland of Oak ridge, Kathy Goodson of Concord, Patricia (Alphonzo) McRae of Proctorville, Wanda J. Crump of Lumberton, and Hallie “Bonnie” Crump-Furlow of Durham; Two Brothers, Alexander Crump of Lumberton and Ricky (Tina) Crump of Rocky Mount; Two Sisters-in-Law Juliette and Cynthia Orr of Birmingham and Mother-in-Law, Doris Orr of Birmingham, Eleven grandchildren; Two great grandchildren; a host of wonderful and loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and Temeshia Regan who was raised as his own and loved by the family.
