He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
William Owen Floyd Jr., lovingly known as Moon Jr, was born September 21, 1969 in Robeson County to Mr. William Floyd Sr and Mrs Sylvia Hill Floyd. He transitioned from this life on September 8, 2021 at Pembroke Center.
Moon Jr. graduated from Lumberton Senior High School. At a early age he was active in the youth department at St. Mary’s, where he sung on the Wing’s of Faith Choir. He worked at Converse with his father, uncle and aunt until closing. He was employed at Steven Roberts bakery until his health failed.
Moon Jr enjoyed working on cars (family mechanic), listing to music and socializing with family and friends. Everyone knows his favorite attire was long white t-shirts and jeans.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his father William Floyd Sr of the home; his mother Sylvia Moran of Lumberton NC; two sons; William Floyd III of St Paul’s NC and Kymani Floyd of Raleigh NC; three sisters Wanda Floyd of Lumberton NC, Audra Wyke(Antonio ) of Raeford NC and Yvette Moran of Orrum NC; and a host of aunts (special aunt Vernadine Allen), uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
